My first animation ever, hand drawn and frame by frame.
Made during my first year in Digital Arts, in something like 2 months with other projects on the side.
I like metal, punk and rock since I was little so I wanted to talk something about it in my style, which is somewhat "grunge". I am not so good at drawing so it was really challenging, and somewhat frustrating at first for me.
I intentionally gave an pixellated aspect to the animationto give it a retro vibe and made references to my childhood with the posters or the GameBoy for example.
The sounds and music are all done by myself aswell.
Making of and original Idea
Original storyboard. It changed while animating but the idea of a kid disappearing when he listens to music is still there.
